Our history
Formed in January 2011 Baker Architectural is a multi-disciplined and modern Architectural practice and is based on the South Coast of England in the seaside town of Hastings and City of Brighton. We undertake projects from the coast to North London and beyond.
Our ethos and motivation is clear: to combine pure, fluid and practical design concepts with strong and reliable construction technology. We aim to make our clients dreams and vision a reality.
Award-winning Chartered Architect Bernard Baker and associate Rob Jenkins provide between them, 45 years of private and 11 years of public sector experience. They lead the practice’s Architectural Design matters.
Talented Architectural Technologist Andrew Baker is much respected by business associates and clients alike. He provides Baker Architectural Ltd’s construction technology and is a qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists (CIAT) and is also a member of the Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB).
Bernard, Andrew and Rob are supported on the practices projects by Architectural Assistant Raimonda Stanislovaity, Architect Mie Shirakashi and technician Peter Catt.
We cover all areas of design from residential, specialising in new build, to commercial, social residential works, specialist health care and conservation projects. We pride ourselves on being able to offer a range of services tailored to meet any brief. We enjoy the challenges that each new brief can bring whilst establishing a good and friendly working relationship with each of our clients.
Our Team
Bernard Baker, RIBA, IMAPS
Chartered Architect, CDM Coordinator
Bernard is an award winning Chartered Architect and member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He is also a registered CDM coordinator and a member of the Association of Project Safety. Bernard has over 30 years experience in the industry and is experienced in all aspects of Architecture, including residential, commercial, heritage and health care.
Andrew Baker, TCIAT, ACIOB
Lead Architectural Technologist
Andrew is a Chartered Architectural Technologist and full member of the Chartered Institute of Architectural Technologists. He is also an associate member of the Chartered Institute of Building. Highly regarded within his field Andrew has over 10 years experience in construction. Andrew is also a director and leads the technical department.
Catherine Baker
Practice Manager
Catherine undertakes the administrative procedures of the practice and looks after Human Resources and professional registrations. She is a professionally qualified secretary and ensures the practice runs smoothly day to day.
Rob Jenkins, BA(Hons), MArch, ARB, RIBA
Chartered Architect
Rob is a Chartered Architect and a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA). He has worked across a number of project sectors and scales, and has a passion for design and detailing. He enjoys working closely with his Clients to deliver their desired scheme.
Raimonda Stanislovaity, BA (HONS)
Architectural Assistant
Raimonda is a graduate of the school of Architecture at the University of Brighton. Her Part 1 in Architecture provides a basis for her continued progression in Architecture as a profession and in her job role as an Architectural Assistant in the practice. Raimonda is multi skilled and speaks a number of languages.
Mie Shirakashi
Chartered Architect
Mie is a Japanese Architect, she provides the practice with drawing support from her home in Japan. Her location enables the practice to operate an effective 24 hours a day and has proven to be invaluable on time precious projects.
Peter Catt
Architectural Technologist
Peter is an associate Architectural Technician to Baker Architectural and provides technical building support to the practices projects. Peter has worked alongside Bernard and Andrew for over 12 years. He joins the practice design team after taking time out to progress design and build projects.
